This kit contians the parts you need to securely attach a Strubel hound to your mast without tools.

It contains a 1" long 1/4-28 aircraft bolt (AN4-10), castle-nut, and safety pin.

Aircraft hardware is used because the un-threaded part of the bolt is only 1/16" shorter than the hound fitting width. This gives the most strength possible to this critical connection.
The threads on aircraft hardware are also more precisely cut than ordinary bolts, so the nut threads on very smoothly.
